Sampled Suneng trolley-furnace proposals and quotations identify eight essential input groups: workpieces, loading, process, capacity, energy, controls, acceptance and site conditions. Chamber length, width and height alone cannot reliably determine trolley load capacity, heating, zones, interlocks, installation scope or final price.
A Suneng variable-capacity trolley-furnace proposal assigns support blocks and tooling to the buyer, with the buyer supplying product geometry and the seller providing the design. Provide workpiece and tooling weights, the support arrangement and site rail conditions, and ask the quotation to state whether blocks, rails and site works are included. A furnace name or workpiece dimensions alone can leave loading and site provisions unresolved until later.
An initial discussion is possible with incomplete information, but the resulting material must state assumptions, inclusions, exclusions and validity conditions. It is not a formal quotation for a frozen configuration. Similar chamber dimensions can lead to different structures, heating, controls and delivery scopes when weight, recipes, loading, energy, records or site boundaries differ.

Always state units: for example, mm for dimensions, kg or t for weight, °C for temperature and pieces/year or t/year for output. The effective working zone is the agreed loading area in which process conditions can be met; it is normally smaller than the geometric chamber and must be checked with fixtures, clearances and heat circulation.
1. Workpieces: identify what will be processed
Provide the grade, shape, dimensions, weight and drawings showing support or clamping positions. These affect temperature, supports, surface quality, distortion and atmosphere as well as physical fit. For mixed products, include the smallest and most common specifications as well as the largest; designing only around the largest item may leave poor utilisation in routine production.
2. Loading: describe the arrangement as well as the weight
Individual weight, quantity, fixtures and total load affect the trolley frame, wheels, rails, drive and hearth. Load distribution, support points and stacking affect structural checks and available space.
Supply a loading sketch showing workpieces and fixtures. Workpiece dimensions are not the effective-zone dimensions: allow for loading, circulation, operation and maintenance. The project design determines clearances; this article does not prescribe a universal allowance.
3. Process: give the curve, not only the maximum temperature
State grade, treatment, maximum and usual temperatures, heating rate, holding time, cooling or unloading method and the required recipes. Rapid heating and slow heating with prolonged holding can require different heat input, lining thermal mass, zones and production cycles even at the same maximum temperature. “Trolley furnace” describes a structure, not a fixed treatment.
4. Capacity: calculate from the complete production cycle
Include loading, entry, heating, holding, cooling or exit, unloading and changeover. Supply shifts, working days, annual target, usual loading and allowable production variation. The batch cycle is the interval from loading to readiness for the next cycle.
A higher nominal load does not necessarily increase annual output if heating, handling or changeover is the bottleneck. Compare utilisation, furnace quantity and production organisation.
5. Energy: compare more than equipment prices
Suneng's sampled proposals include electric resistance and gas heating. Electric versions need supply, transformer and distribution checks. Gas versions additionally need the fuel type, pressure, flow, combustion safety, exhaust and site requirements.
Compare these against temperature, output, local utilities and delivery scope. Neither is inherently cheaper for every duty. Mark unconfirmed utility inputs explicitly and state the assumptions used.
6. Controls and traceability
Specify programmed temperature control, recipes, records, export, networking, permissions, fault alarms and remote interfaces. Define door, trolley and heating interlocks.
Zone counts, programmable control, paperless recording and movement interlocks vary between Suneng projects. Do not treat one instrument brand, zone count or interface as standard for every furnace. The agreed control description and electrical drawings govern delivery.
7. Acceptance requirements in the enquiry
For uniformity, state the effective zone, test temperatures, no-load or loaded state, measurement points, stabilisation time, records and evaluation method. A temperature-deviation number alone is incomplete.
Suneng can support contracted furnace-uniformity and control-system accuracy checks. Metrological calibration or third-party certification requires appropriately qualified organisations. A factory acceptance test does not establish that every condition after site installation has been met; define site acceptance separately.
8. Site conditions and delivery responsibilities
For a new project, provide the workshop plan, clear height, access route, foundations and rails, crane capacity, material-flow direction and utilities. For a retrofit, add drawings, photographs, faults, potentially retained components and the shutdown window. Suneng can undertake trolley-furnace retrofits; retained items and shutdown arrangements require site review and agreement.
Historical itemised quotations show that packaging, transport, commissioning, foundations, secondary cables, cable trays, lifting and utilities may sit outside the furnace body price. State the responsibility for each:
- Systems included in the equipment.
- Transport, unloading and lifting.
- Foundations, rails, secondary cables and cable trays.
- Water, electricity, gas and exhaust connection boundaries.
- Installation, commissioning, training and acceptance.
- Spares, documents, warranty and support.
- Tax, freight and quotation validity conditions.
Starting an enquiry with incomplete information
Supply a minimum package: product name, material and drawing/photo; maximum dimensions, individual weight and total batch weight; maximum temperature and existing curve; shifts or annual output target; available energy; and whether the project is new or a retrofit and where it is located.
The supplier can identify whether further proposal work is feasible and list missing inputs. Any resulting preliminary material remains conditional until the configuration is agreed.

Comparing two quotations
Return both to the same workpiece, effective zone, load and curve. Align heat source, zones, circulation, records and interlocks; uniformity test methods; transport, foundations, installation and ancillary work; acceptance; documents, spares, warranty and support. If these boundaries differ, the totals are not directly comparable.

Can a price be discussed from chamber dimensions alone?
A conditional initial discussion is possible, but load, layout, process, output, energy, controls, acceptance and site inputs are needed for a reliable fixed configuration.
What if there is no complete process curve?
Supply the grade, current records, maximum and usual temperatures, holding and cooling, and list uncertainties for later agreement.
Is one uniformity number sufficient?
No. Specify the zone, temperature, load, points, stabilisation, records and method.
Does the price include installation and transport?
Only if the quotation says so. Confirm every delivery and site item separately.
Can Suneng heat-treat parts on a per-piece basis?
No. Its scope is equipment design, manufacturing, integration, new and retrofit projects, commissioning and support.
