Begin with a common workpiece, load, process, output, energy, controls, acceptance and site baseline. Then align nine quotation areas: body, lining, heat source, circulation, controls, trolley, installation, acceptance and commercial terms. Totals are meaningful only when inputs, functions and responsibilities match.
A Suneng gas-fired trolley-furnace quotation presents a summary and itemised breakdown. First align names, quantities, specifications and inclusions within the same version, then check unit prices and totals. Ask the supplier to explain inconsistent scopes or totals in writing and identify the effective version. If the explanation is only that the price has fallen, request an item-by-item difference list; matching names do not establish identical configuration and responsibility.
Suneng's engineering team describes this as one baseline, nine boundaries and documented deviation closure. It is a procurement method, not a compulsory contract structure or a replacement for technical, commercial and contract review.
Establish a comparable baseline
Confirm material, maximum/usual dimensions and individual weight; batch quantity, total load, fixtures and layout; temperature range, complete curve, cooling and surface requirements; complete cycle, shifts, changeovers and output; available power or gas and interfaces; programs, records, alarms, permissions and interlocks; effective zone, test state, method and criteria; and new/retrofit scope, layout, access, foundations and utilities. Put differences in a technical-deviation table instead of reducing everything to one price difference.
1. Body and effective working zone
Compare the effective zone, temperature range, door and loading method, maintenance access and site layout. Geometric chamber dimensions do not automatically describe usable space. Workpieces, fixtures, clearances and circulation determine the relevant area; identical outer or chamber dimensions can conceal different loading conditions.
2. Lining
Compare maximum/usual temperatures, heating and holding, trolley-deck loading, doors, seals and maintenance. Labels such as “all-fibre” or “composite” do not establish identical layers, thickness, anchors, deck refractory or service-life boundaries. Project thermal and structural design determines the materials and structure.
3. Heating or combustion
For electric versions, align circuits, zones and site distribution. For gas versions, align fuel conditions, combustion, air, exhaust and specialist safeguards. Installed power or rated combustion input is not measured consumption or proof of heating and uniformity.
When heat sources differ, first check whether both suit the process/output, then include distribution, gas connections, exhaust and safety in the same scope. Applicable regulations and project documents govern gas safety; this article does not determine compliance.
4. Circulation
Fans, guides and zones do not automatically establish uniformity, and fan checks do not apply to equipment without circulation. Check workpiece, loading, temperature, circulation and test method as one thermal design. Results still require a defined zone, points, state, stabilisation and evaluation.
5. Controls
Compare program operation, temperature records, alarms, permissions, data retention and interlocks between doors, trolley, heating/combustion and associated equipment. Brands and models matter but do not replace functions, quantities, interfaces and documents. Zone count must fit the thermal design and load and be verified by the agreed tests.
6. Trolley
Assess individual and total loads, distribution, fixture weight, rails and handling route together. Deck dimensions alone do not establish load capacity, movement or site logistics. Define foundations, rails, pits, cranes and material-flow responsibility with the installation scope.
7. Installation
Assign connection locations and responsibility for transport, unloading, lifting, foundations, rails, secondary cables, trays, earthing, utilities, exhaust, installation, commissioning and training. “Installation included” and “installation supervision” are different scopes. Customer utilities also need capacity, connection, completion time and cooperation requirements. The contract governs the final responsibility allocation.
8. Acceptance and documents
For uniformity, heating, movement, interlocks, records and loaded trials, specify region, temperature, state, points, instruments, stabilisation, recording, evaluation and retest. Separate targets, guarantees and measured values and distinguish factory and site tests. A proposal target or factory record is not a site measurement.
List drawings, manuals, conformity and test records, together with training scope, format and timing, according to the project.
9. Taxes, transport and commercial terms
Align tax, freight, packaging, insurance, quotation validity, payments, warranty and support. This article supplies no universal commercial terms or historical quotation prices. List commercial differences separately from equipment differences.
Nine-item comparison table
| Item | Main check | Common mistake |
|---|---|---|
| Body | Zone, temperature, structure and maintenance. | Outer dimensions only. |
| Lining | Duty, layers, deck and repair. | Material name only. |
| Heating | Energy, zones, interfaces and safety. | Rated input treated as actual performance. |
| Circulation | Applicable duty, guides, load and tests. | A fan treated as proof of uniformity. |
| Controls | Programs, records, alarms, permissions and interlocks. | Brands or zone count only. |
| Trolley | Load, distribution, fixtures, rails and handling. | Deck size only. |
| Installation | Transport, lifting, foundations, utilities and commissioning. | No responsibility points. |
| Acceptance | Region, state, instruments, method, criteria and retests. | Targets presented as measurements. |
| Commercial | Taxes, packing/freight, validity and service. | Totals with different boundaries compared directly. |
Close deviations explicitly
List substitutions, open items, assumptions and exclusions with impact, owner, confirmer, version and closure evidence. Show unresolved differences separately; do not assume the quotations are equivalent. This process does not replace contractual, claim or legal procedures.
Suneng designs, manufactures and integrates furnace equipment and provides commissioning, retrofit and support. It can define trolley-furnace interfaces and scope from agreed duty. Parameters, prices, tests, installation and services follow the technical agreement, quotation and contract. This is general procurement guidance, not a ranking, purchase decision or legal advice.
