Continuous Copper-wire Annealing LineInquiry preparation checklist
Organize existing information so engineers can assess the process and equipment direction.
Download a blank text checklist; printing preserves the current ticks.
Provide known facts; leave uncertain items blank. Entering parameters does not establish compatibility. A tick means information is prepared, not that technical conditions are met.
Material and targets
Identify the wire and the required results.
Copper grade, oxygen condition and cold-work state; identify bare, plated or enamelled wire.
Plated/enamelled wire requires separate assessment; do not assume the bare-copper annealing process applies.
Minimum, maximum and typical diameters with units; single or parallel wire count. List specifications separately and match each to the speed and output in item 4.
Tensile strength, elongation, resistivity, softening and surface requirements. Provide available values, units, specifications and editions; describe the application if targets are not established.
Production and equipment
Describe specifications, production timing and interfaces together.
For each specification provide diameter, wire count, target steady speed (m/min) and total output (kg/h). List differing diameters/speeds separately and identify per-wire versus whole-unit figures.
Describe shifts, normal running, start/stop, specification and reel changes, and wire-break downtime. Provide either existing speed or output if only one is known.
State whether this is a new complete line, connection to existing drawing/take-up equipment or annealing-section retrofit. List retained equipment and requested supply scope.
Identify indirect tubular-furnace heating, direct electrical annealing or 'undecided — engineering assistance requested'.
Reel dimensions, full-reel mass, payoff/haul-off/take-up arrangements and allowable tension. Provide existing equipment photos, models or layouts.
Site and validation
Report existing conditions accurately. Engineers verify required capacity and safety provisions.
Surface targets, existing gas source and known supply conditions, cooling method, exit temperature and residual-liquid limits. Leave unknowns blank; you need not choose a protective-gas recipe yourself.
Engineering note: oxygen-bearing copper risks damage in high-temperature hydrogen-containing atmospheres. Hydrogen availability alone does not justify its use; assess material and process compatibility.
Space, existing power, cooling water, gas and exhaust, reel handling and adjacent interfaces. Include building/equipment layouts if available.
Customers provide existing conditions; engineers confirm required capacity, safety measures and interface responsibilities.
Representative grades and minimum/maximum/typical diameter samples; available test reports, sampling and traceability requirements. Confirm trial and acceptance conditions separately during project discussions.
Start with the information you have
Send available material, specifications and production requirements; complete other information during design discussions.
Ticks organize this page only; no information is submitted. Refreshing resets them.
